Holly is also known as Holly Rose of Holly Rose’s Lucent Obscurities. She is an expressionist artist who uses mediums such as charcoal, pen, permanent marker, acrylic paint and crayons.
Aside from a few portraits here and there, Holly mainly dedicates her art to expressing the various and complicated emotions of depression and anxiety disorder. After being diagnosed with both disorders at a very young age, Holly turned to art and music to help her cope.
Drawing influences from artists such as Chet Zar, Tim Burton, Marilyn Manson and Daniel Lemire, she hopes her colorful and dark work can shed light on the variety of ways these disorders affect people.
